Latest Survival Life Digital Newsletter Released with Features on Prepping and Survival

The SurvivalLife.com spin-off blog from Absolute Rights contributor ‘Above Average’ Joe has released its latest Newsletter.

Austin, TX (PRWEB) October 13, 2012

SurvivalLife.com, the prepper and survival blog from Absolute Rights contributor ‘Above Average’ Joe, has published and released its most recent edition of its Digital Newsletter. In it, featured articles cover issues like stockpiles versus skills, starting preppers at a young age, and the always-useful Survival Tip of the Day.

The main article covers the idea of stockpiling supplies and debates their merit over survival skills. Joe conveys the message using his grandparents’ experience in the Great Depression as an example of how to develop useful skills.

“The moral of this story,” wrote Joe, “is that you need to have skills that are relevant and of use to both yourself and others, so that when the time comes you’ll be worth more than any amount of gold or silver in your pocket.”

“If you have mastered the skill before you need it to survive, you will be so much better off,” Joe said in the article. “Let’s face it, when money has no value we will return to a bartering society. You will only be as valuable as you are useful to yourself as well as to others.”

The Survival Tip of the Day takes a cue from the old fable of the Grasshopper and the Ant. ‘Above Average’ Joe said in the article that “Selfishness for most is a lifestyle and a state of mind that has been engrained into people and this makes it an extremely difficult barrier to cross.”

A book review is also included in the Newsletter, as Joe describes the advantages of starting a youngster early on prepping and survival training with books like the American Handy Boys Book.

Joe said it “contains practical survival techniques that can still be used today,” despite some of its dated content. “If you’re looking for a gift to help involve your children in survival and preparedness, you should check out this book,” Joe wrote.

Articles like these are featured daily on SurvivalLife.com, alongside pieces from other prepper blogs, product reviews, e-book reviews, and a variety of topics on disaster preparation and survival. It is a non-politically biased source that is geared toward the survival side of prepping. Subscriptions to the daily Newsletter brings all of the latest information from SurvivalLife.com straight to readers’ inboxes.

Whether readers need wilderness survival tips or strategies to plan for an urban disaster, SurvivalLife.com covers it all. Well on its way to becoming a preeminent member of the survival blog-o-sphere, SurvivalLife.com is contributing to the conversation and hopes readers do as well.

As Joe and the SurvivalLife.com team like to say, “It’s your life. Prepare to survive.”
