Washington, DC (PRWEB) October 15, 2012

The Government Information Technology Executive Council is proud to announce that the next Summit will take place at the Sheraton Inner Harbor Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland on April 28-30, 2013. The annual GITEC Summit is the premier opportunity to share trends, cutting edge ideas, challenges and solutions in Shared IT Services with senior level executives and leaders.

At the 2012 Summit, over 300 CIOs, CTOs and IT visionaries across government and industry gathered to discuss the necessary components to successfully implement and use SharedIT Services in the public sector. This year GITEC expects to draw an even bigger crowd and another exciting line up of senior government speakers.

GITEC’s President Adriane Burton commented that “We were extremely excited that we had over 125 government leaders attend last year’s summit. I heard many comments from government and industry leaders that they benefited tremendously from the conference. We hope to recreate that synergy and collaboration at GITEC’s 2013 Summit.”

The GITEC Summit will continue allowing complimentary government registration to enable government participation despite the economic constraints of agency budgets. Last year was the first year that GITEC did not charge government attendees resulting in attendance from over 47 government agencies. This allowed for excellent educational opportunities across government agencies and enabled valuable discussion and contacts between industry partners and IT executives through the Solution Center Exhibit space and the CXO luncheon.
