Instant values on any home nationwide now available with the snap of a photo.
Pleasanton, CA (PRWEB) August 01, 2012
SmartZip Analytics, Inc., a leader in predictive marketing solutions powered by industry-leading home and homeowner analytics, has partnered with online real estate broker Sawbuck on its innovative new home valuation tool that makes it easier than ever to find the price of any home nationwide—with just the snap of a photo.
HomeSnap is a free smartphone application that enables users to simply take a photo to find out values and other key information for over 90 million homes across the United States. Sawbuck’s patent-pending technology and advanced algorithms identify each home, while SmartZip’s nationwide real estate data and proprietary automated valuation models (AVMs) enable accurate assessments of market values to be delivered instantly to the phone. The easy-to-use app tells home buyers and real estate agents important up-to-date details about any home: what it’s worth, when it last sold, last selling price, bedrooms, baths, lot size, local schools and much more.
Avi Gupta, CEO of SmartZip, called HomeSnap a tremendous leap forward in real estate technology. “Until now, finding home prices on non-listed properties has been very cumbersome,” he explained. “With HomeSnap, you can be standing right in front of the home and have access to exactly the information you need. We’re thrilled to work with Sawbuck to bring this incredibly useful tool to home buyers and agents.” In much of the country, HomeSnap also integrates real-time data from the Multiple Listing Service. If a home is for sale, the app shows the current listing price, interior pictures, and listing details; interested buyers can even schedule a showing right from the app. For a home that just sold, HomeSnap shows the final sale price and complete listing history.
In addition to home values, HomeSnap includes SmartZip’s HomeScore™ on every property. HomeScore is a rating of investment quality that indicates long-term potential to appreciate in value, relative to all other homes nationwide.
HomeSnap saves every home snapped and updates each one automatically with new information, using SmartZip’s real estate data platform. The app also makes it easy to share information on snapped homes with friends or family through Facebook, Twitter, text message or email.
“People need accuracy when they use HomeSnap, so it was a simple decision to partner with SmartZip Analytics,” said Guy Wolcott, Sawbuck’s co-founder and CEO. “With SmartZip, we know we are providing the highest quality home valuations and real estate data to our users.”
The free HomeSnap app for iPhone can be found in the iTunes store. HomeSnap for Android is in the works and will be available soon.
