Philanthropegie promises to revolutionize the way charitable organizations connect to donors, volunteers and resources that make a difference

A new company has committed all of its resources to connecting organizations, nonprofits and individuals interested in serving the greater good. The site – http://www.philanthropegie.org – is the face of a newly formed organization with a mission to bring people together with the resources they need to make the world a better place.
“Almost a full year in the making, we are thrilled to introduce Philanthropegie to the world,” says Founder Ric Leutwyler. “Far too often, we feel limited or constrained in our ability to make a real impact. Sometimes, it’s because we just don’t know where to start.”
There is an abundance of people, tools, services and organizations that likely have what people need to make an impact. Leutwyler decided to give people an easy way to connect organizations that are committed to making a difference with people who share their passion and vision.
Resources found on Philanthropegie can help with nonprofit fundraising, facilitate charitable giving by connecting donors with charitable organizations, offer nonprofit management services, put more cause-related apps on smart phones, inspire people to make a difference and link volunteers with charitable organizations in need.
The Philanthropegie.org strategy is to bring people and nonprofit sponsors together with the nonprofit resources that they – as an individual, or a member of an organization or a nonprofit – need to accomplish what they feel is in their heart to do.
Leutwyler went on to say, “I know we’ve only scratched the surface. As we launch, our site lists only a fraction of the wonderful nonprofit resources ready to help you meet your philanthropic objectives. At this point, we have focused almost exclusively on North America – while the need is clearly a global one. It’s a start though – I believe a good one.”
Leutwyler’s message to people as they visit the new site, “I hope that you find what you’re looking for – because I believe that, when you do, someone’s life will be changed for the better.”
Leutwyler’s previous leadership role was with Pegasus Solutions, where he served as the president of Utell Hotels & Resorts and chief operating officer for Pegasus. Leutwyler left Pegasus September 2011 to focus his time and energy on this new endeavor – Philanthropegie. Leutwyler, the founder of Philanthropegie, also serves as the president.
