British Inns Buy Up Woodburning Stoves

Online retailer Woodburning-Stoves has reported an increase over the past few months of orders coming from hotels, B&B’s and inns from all across the UK. This rise might be due to the upcoming winter months, or it might be down to something else entirely…

Evesham, Worcestershire (PRWEB UK) 20 October 2012

It’s very rare that sales trends can be pinpointed down to one specific reason for an increase or decrease and this situation is no different.

WoodburnerWorld (aka. Woodburning-Stoves.co.uk) have been in the wood stove market for long enough to know that selling patterns are hard to correlate with specific events or occurrences. Sometimes there are large increases for what appears to be no reason and similarly sometimes there are dry periods where orders ‘drop off a cliff’ without explanation.

In the past several months, Scott Morris, E-Commerce Manager at Woodburning-Stoves.co.uk has noted a large increase in stove orders from inns, B&B’s and hotels all over the UK. Scott talked through this analysis and possible reasoning below:

“Almost a quarter of our orders over the last twelve weeks have been from a variety of British inns and hotels, some of which have ordered multiple stoves and placed several orders. Now arguably, we could say this increase is down to the approaching winter drawing nearer, however, when compared to last year’s statistics, this wouldn’t appear to be the full story. Over the same 3 month period in 2011, only 1 in every 18 orders was accounted for by hotels, B&B’s and inns. Simple deduction would suggest that there is another motive for these establishments investing in woodburners at this time of year…”

Several people within the business have suggested that this increase could be down to these establishments refurbishing rooms in preparation for winter and an extra source of heating. Whilst other staff members feel that this is a marketing tactic being employed by a marketing consultancy who is working with many hotels and B&B’s in the UK.

Regardless of the reason, the sales on WoodburnerWorld’s budget stoves have certainly increased, along with the orders for the branded Westfire range of stoves.
