“We’re open and we’re blowin.” With those words, owners Marria Pooya and Susan Jansen announced the opening October 2nd of Do’s, a highly contemporary new blow dry bar at 25 Lewis Street in Greenwich, CT. http://www.doshair.com
“It’s a concept we’ve been looking at for some time.” Pooya said. “We’re not in the typical hair salon business cutting, coloring and giving perms, we specialize in blowouts and styling. And because blowouts are all we do, we can do it better and at less cost than traditional salons.”
Pooya and Jansen plan to expand the concept and open additional locations in Connecticut and beyond. “It’s a trend in hair styling you’re going to see a lot more of and we want to be a part of it,” Jansen stated. “We’ve done our homework and hired one of the top stylists in New York as our Creative Director. This opening is just the beginning of what we hope and truly believe will be something very special in hair styling for our area.”
When asked about the name, the owners stated that “Do’s” is a shortened nostalgic version of “hairdos” and a name they felt captured the fun personality they feel is an essential element of their business model.
“We want our clients to look forward to coming into Do’s not only for the styling of their hair but also for the fun, relaxing experience we’ve designed it to be.” said Pooya. “ You can see it in our advertising, in the design of our salon and in the people we’ve hired. Everyone in the organization who interacts with our clients was chosen not only for their talent and experience but also for their personality.”
