District, a New York City themed burger restaurant, has opened inside nightclub hot spot Providence Atlantic City. The restaurant, which is located on the premises of Tropicana Casino and Resort, is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8pm until 5am.
Owner and operator of Metronome Hospitality Group, Robert Pereira, created District to be the perfect night spot for club goers who are looking for a bite to eat after usual restaurant hours. The urban establishment, which is inspired by New York City’s Meatpacking District, offers on-the-go menu items that are creatively packaged and easy to carry out. Menu prices range from $4 for sides to $12 for a variety slider 3-pack.
The inspiration for District came from Pereira’s past experience of growing up in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District, once filled with slaughterhouses and packing warehouses, and now home to NYC’s trendiest nightclub scene. Cobblestone walkways, sewer cap tabletops, and a 36-foot cityscape montage are just a few design details drawing nightlife customers in for a burger. The location has already enticed several notable patrons, including the cast of MTV’s The Guy Code, and Vinny from Jersey Shore.
Cleverly titled menu items, feature triple burger specials with the options of mouth-watering beef, chicken, turkey, or Portobello mushroom burgers, all stacked with an assortment of extras. ‘The Nude’, being the lone burger on menu with no topping.
It is expected that District franchise opportunities will be available in the New Jersey and New York City metropolitan areas.
