Colorado's largest Christmas Tree is coming to the Outlets at Castle Rock

WHAT:Colorado's largest Christmas tree arrives at Outlets at Castle Rock following a two-day trip from the Shasta Trinity Forest where it was harvested.
Carried on a 50-foot stretch trailer from the Shasta Trinity Forest on the California/Oregon border, the 55-foot tree will be unloaded on the east side of the mall. The freshly cut white fir tree will be attached to a strap as a construction crane removes it from the flatbed and drops it into a specially designed tree well at the event court on the east side of the center. The well measures 3 feet wide by 7 feet deep.
Over the next 7 days, a crew of 4 will shape and plug the tree with 500 live fir branches, coat it with 70 gallons of fire retardant and decorate it with more than 4,500 lights, 3,000 ornaments and bows.
The 55-foot tree will make its official debut at the center’s tree lighting event scheduled on November 10th. After the holiday season, the tree will be completely recycled.
