PartMatch.com, a new social marketplace that connects buyers and sellers of auto and motorcycle parts, today announced the official launch of it's revolutionary website—a platform that allows buyers to easily, quickly, and intuitively find and purchase parts for virtually all automotive and motorcycle makes and models. Users can register as buyers or sellers and can use the site to either find or list items for sale.

Founded by Chris Andrade and Daniel Williams, PartMatch fills a significant gap in the automotive parts industry. Andrade got the idea for the site after struggling to find and purchase the parts he needed to modify his motorcycle. “Finding a specific part for a specific bike is almost impossible online,” he says. “I learned that firsthand.”

PartMatch changes this. For the first time, buyers can access a full catalog of auto and moto parts online through an intuitive interface that's easy to understand and navigate. Parts and accessories are listed by independent sellers, which fosters healthy competition and keeps prices low while simultaneously making the widest variety of parts available for purchase.

In addition, visitors to the site are encouraged to create personal profiles where they can post photos and information about cars, motorcycles, and other vehicles they own. These profiles give buyers and sellers the opportunity to showcase their automotive projects and interests, furthering the development of an online community of passionate auto and moto hobbyists.

Before founding PartMatch, Williams and Andrade frequently turned to eBay to purchase parts but were consistently dissatisfied. “On eBay, there's too much clutter and not enough substance,” Williams says. “There are a lot of good eBay sellers with good products, but it can be hard to find what you need. And if you do, you'd better buy it quick, because it may be the only one, or that seller may not list anything again for months.” Frustrated with eBay, they turned to automotive forums, searching for other sites that offered parts for sale by owner. Their efforts again met with little success. “Forums are great, but they get outdated fast,” Williams says. “Posts get buried or removed. Links get broken. And no forum makes it truly easy to find and buy a specific part you need. That's not how forums work.”

On PartMatch, users are guided through the process of identifying exactly which part or parts they need before ever seeing a product listing. This avoids the “clutter” found on other e-commerce sites, such as eBay, and helps to streamline the purchase process for all visitors.

But PartMatch doesn't just revolutionize the buying experience. It also makes it easier than ever for individuals and business owners to sell parts online. “The selling platform is unique,” Andrade says. “Sellers are encouraged to list whatever parts they have available, but sellers can also respond to specific buyer requests. If a buyer searches for a part but doesn't find it, PartMatch allows him or her to make a request for that part. Sellers are notified of requests and are prompted to list the desired parts for sale, if possible.” This functionality, in addition to PartMatch's unique interface, makes the site an important marketplace for sellers.

The launch of PartMatch signals a shift toward usability and connectivity for buyers and sellers of auto and motorcycle parts, a shift that will benefit both groups. Learn more at PartMatch.com.
