Chicago, IL (PRWEB) November 14, 2012
OneIMS, an online marketing and web design firm, hosted an informative seminar on the topic of digital marketing at Arlington Heights Public Library. The event brought together a diverse audience including sales and marketing representatives from non-profit organizations in the Chicagoland area.
The seminar, focused on the elements of an effective digital marketing campaign, opened up the minds of attendees to the widespread use of digital promotion as part of a holistic marketing strategy. Common questions included: when is it time to seek professional help, what is an adequate budget for search marketing and is social media a wise investment for small organizations?
"Even though search and digital marketing has been growing quickly over the past several years, many people are unaware its benefits, especially those in the non-profit business," explains Bijoy Samuel, Director of Business Development at OneIMS.
The 90-minute seminar, held on November 8th at Arlington Heights Public Library, was part of a series of workshops put on by OneIMS on the topic of marketing for small businesses and non-profits. "It was wonderful to work this event and offer knowledge of trends in the digital marketing industry. It's important for small businesses and non-profits to be aware of these growing trends and take advantage of this information to help build their online presence. Whether it’s through paid search marketing, organic search engine optimization or social media, there are a lot of cost-effective options that can boost online exposure for any business or organization," adds Samuel.
During the seminar, Samuel presented digital marketing ideas and strategies specifically beneficial to small business owners, non-profits and organizations with limited budgets. “It’s remarkable to see how many business owners and organizations underestimate their website and digital presence,” admits Samuel. “While I’m not suggesting that traditional marketing should be halted, it’s vital for small businesses and organizations to re-evaluate how to reach their target audience. More than likely, their target audience is surfing the web and on social media sites,” advises Samuel. “As Chicago marketing consultants, it’s our job to help our clients reach their potential,” expresses Samuel.
Attendees valued the strategies presented and were eager to learn more. During a short Q and A session, attendees were able to ask questions. “It was exciting to see the assortment of questions that we got,” says Samuel. From the very basic of how can social media really help me to how much of my marketing budget should be allocated to online marketing, participants were captivated with the topic.
OneIMS plans to host similar events in the future as well as lectures on the various topics of marketing in the 21st century.
