Frozen Ropes is celebrating it’s 1-year anniversary on Saturday, December 1, 2012 from noon to 5pm at its Glendora facility. Scheduled events include a Championship Coaches Panel from 2-3pm and Dodger legend Tommy Davis from 3-5pm. For the Coaches Panel, several local high school coaches who have won CIF titles will discuss their championship seasons. It will be moderated by local legendary coach Skip Claprood and will include a questions and answer session. Tommy Davis, a 2-time National League batting champion and 3-time All-Star, will talk about his long career in the major leagues and then be available for photos and autographs.
Other special guests include Jeff Gelalich, graduate of Bonita High School who played at UCLA and was drafted earlier this year by the Cincinnati Reds and personnel from the Inland Empire 66ers, an Angels minor league affiliate. Several vendors will be available as well to display their products and answer questions.
Frozen Ropes boasts over 17,000 square feet with 10 multi-use tunnels that include 8 pitching machines – 4 for baseball and 4 for softball, dozens of tees, various L-screens and catch nets, a T-2 Motion video analysis station to record athletes during his or her lesson and a new V-Flex strike zone recognition hitting system. Their Pro Shop carries a good selection of baseball and softball products from companies such as Easton, Wilson, Rawlings, Worth, Diamond and Dimarini. Its instructional staff includes several individuals from the local community who have played at the highest levels and are now sharing their knowledge and experience – along with the proven Frozen Ropes training model – with the next generation of baseball and softball athletes.
Frozen Ropes provides not only great individual instruction but also structured group classes from its Born To Play class for 3&4 year olds, to its advanced Scope & Rope hitting classes. They also offer strength & conditioning and speed & agility sessions. During their first year, they have established strong relationships with local recreational leagues, travel teams, and high school and college teams.
