Upper Marlboro, MD, November 22, 2012 –(PR.com)– Ron Bortnick Ford is hosting a Drive 4UR Community charity event Saturday, December 1st. Ford is donating $20, up to $6,000 for every person that test drives a vehicle then to the Boys and Girls Club of Prince George’s County. There will be food and refreshments served at the event. Volunteers are welcome to help at the event.
A test drive will take about 7-10 minutes. Beforehand, participants must register and fill out a test drive waiver and release. The driver must be over 18 years old. After the test drive is complete, a survey must be completed on both sides. The donation is limited to one per household.
Test drives will begin at 9 am and end at 8 pm with a lunch break in between from noon to 1 pm. There will also be a bake sale the entire day with all proceeds benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Prince George’s County. In addition there will be a blood drive through the American Red Cross from 10 am to 4 pm to help local hospitals and the people affected by Hurricane Sandy. Pre-registration is required for the blood drive. Red Cross is providing snacks and refreshments to the participants.
The Boys and Girls Club of Prince George’s County provides the youth in the area opportunities to participate in activities that are sponsored and conducted by American Sports Effectiveness Program qualified volunteer coaches. The club offers basketball, soccer, baseball, softball, cheerleading, track, and football programs for children 5-18 years old.
