Rothstein Kass (http://www.rkco.com), a leading professional services provider, today announced that Andrew Bentley has joined the firm as a Principal and the leader of the Tax Practice in its soon-to-be-opened Boston Office. Mr. Bentley brings more than 14 years of “Big Four” public accounting experience to the team, with a specialization in the taxation of alternative investments. He is the latest high-profile addition for Rothstein Kass in Boston, where the firm expects to have more than 30 professionals when it officially opens an office in the fall.
In his role at Rothstein Kass, Mr. Bentley is responsible for providing tax expertise to the firm’s Boston-based clients and is also responsible for business development as it relates to the tax practice. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Bentley served as Director of Financial Services Tax at PwC. He has extensive experience with alternative investment vehicle allocations, having worked with a broad spectrum of clients including hedge funds, private equity funds, CDO and special opportunity funds.

Mr. Bentley is the co-founder and has served as co-chairperson of the Alternative Investments Committee of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA). He has also been actively involved with the Massachusetts Working Group of the Managed Funds Association (MFA). Mr. Bentley has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and marketing from Boston College. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.
