Columbia, SC, August 19, 2012 –(PR.com)– Sensei Chris Feldt, owner and chief instructor for Samurai Karate Studio, located in Richland Northeast Columbia, South Carolina, recently announced that one of his Black Belt candidates raised over $300 for the Southern States Police Benevolent Association as part of his Black belt test.
"All of my Black belt candidates, prior to testing, must select a community service project and lead and execute the project," commented Sensei Feldt. "Chandler Roberts did an awesome job choosing this worthy charity and helping to raise over $300!"
"Chandler Roberts has been training with me for 4 years and he is an outstanding young man," explained Sensei Feldt. "He has participated in many community projects over the past 4 years, but this is the first one he actually led. I ask all of my Black belts to demonstrate their leadership skills and to serve their community as part of their test for Black belt. Our focus is on developing real leaders. That is one of the missions here at Samurai Karate Studio."
"My father is a Columbia police officer," commented Roberts, "and I think the SSPBA is a wonderful organization and I am happy to support them!"
