Butler University and ViewYou will join forces, via Butler's Career Services Office, to offer students a cutting-edge advantage in today's job market.

ViewYou, an Indianapolis-based start-up, will partner with Butler University to promote students to employers and graduate programs worldwide. A key player in Indianapolis’ growing tech sector, ViewYou uses digital technology to connect job candidates with prospective employers.
Beginning this fall, the Internship and Career Services Office will market ViewYou to students campus-wide. Further, ViewYou will be integrated into Butler’s academic syllabus. Students enrolled in LC301, Career Planning Strategies: Foundations for Success, perform in-class mock interviews. In lieu of a second mandatory practice session, students will have the option of creating a ViewYou profile.
High definition video profiles provide employers with insight beyond a paper resume, allowing students to showcase their demeanor, personality and soft skills.
ViewYou profiles are confidential; access is securely controlled by the candidates themselves.
ViewYou users include students, graduates, young professionals and employers.
“This is an exciting opportunity,” said Gary Beaulieu, Butler’s Director of Internship and Career Services. “We are thrilled to work with ViewYou, a local company, to promote the incredibly talented students at Butler University.”
Nicole Brooks, Career Advisor and LC301 instructor, is enthusiastic about offering students nontraditional, technology-based options to pursue future careers. “Having a video profile will give students a competitive edge by allowing them to showcase their strengths and accomplishments prior to an in-person interview,” said Brooks.
Last month, participants in Butler’s Brain Gain Program completed ViewYou profiles. The Brain Gain Program, coordinated by Butler’s Internship and Career Services, is designed to help students connect with Indianapolis community and culture during the summer months.
“Working with Butler students this summer was a breeze. We filmed a number of very capable students,” said Jason Randolph, cofounder and ViewYou partner. “We are very excited to offer all Butler students the chance to work with ViewYou.”
Fall semester classes officially begin on August 22. ViewYou’s first student coaching session is slated to take place in late September.
