Yardmama is a new e-commerce platform for buyers and sellers to discover one another. Users have a dedicated online presence to post and promote various sale listings including yard sales, garage sales, moving sales, and virtual sales. The site aims to offer users an alternative to similar classified sites such as eBay and Craigslist. All sales are done off-line between the buyer and seller allowing the seller to keep 100% of their revenue. Yardmama does not collect a commission on sales or shipping fees. Users can list for free or pay a subscription fee for other features including a personal vanity name, alert messages, and route maps.

Owensboro, KY (PRWEB) September 26, 2012

E-commerce startup Yardmama is an online marketplace / classified listing website that allows members to post and promote various sale listings including yard sales, garage sales, moving sales, estate sales, single item sales, and virtual sales. “Yardmama was formed to give both buyers and sellers a more effective way to learn about and discover each other,” says Grant Gipe. “It’s a great way to sell your used stuff or discover some hidden treasures.” Sellers can post both real and virtual sales. No yard required.

Yardmama aims to offer users another promotional channel in addition to newspaper classified ads, eBay, and Craigslist. All sales are done off-line between the buyer and seller allowing the seller to keep 100% of their revenue. Yardmama does not collect a commission on sales or shipping fees. “Many sellers today publish and promote their sales on eBay, Craigslist or Tumblr then refer their friends and followers to Facebook to see more photos,” says Grant. “Yardmama is designed specifically for yard sales and gives users a dedicated online presence to promote their sales.”

Site features include a personal vanity URL, member profile page, alert messages, route maps, reviews, ratings, bookmarks, favorites, follows, recommends, photos, maps, prices, descriptions, searchable tags, single listings, virtual listings, plus more! “I really like the virtual listing feature which allows sellers to list sales online without a date. This is especially useful for people who live in an apartment or are restricted by local laws limiting the number of times they can host a physical yard sale,” says Grant.

Anyone can join and post a listing for FREE or upgrade and only pay $34 / year. “The yearly premium membership cost is equivalent to a one-off newspaper classified ad,” says the company CEO. “Except Yardmama users can list different sales all year long, whenever they want, as many times as they want.”
