The new Circaflex 511 control system provides an off-the-shelf solution to complex medical OEM applications. The embedded control system addresses the four common struggles in customer applications in the life science industry: time, flexibility, cost and size. Circaflex 511 includes prebuilt software in NI LabVIEW, signal conditioning and rapid prototyping features like screw terminal connectivity and status LEDs to save up to 75% of development time. Equipped with two ports for Circaflex expansion modules, Circaflex 511 adds the extra cushion of flexibility needed for prototyping. The control system is risk free with fuse protection, designed for easy troubleshooting, and the smallest in its class to accommodate portability options for life science applications.
All Circaflex products designed by Cyth Systems are based on National Instruments Single-Board RIO hardware and LabVIEW software. Circaflex 511 is based on the newest NI sbRIO-9606 module and includes prebuilt code using LabVIEW in the Circaflex dashboard software for instant I/O interaction. Circaflex 511 encompasses all of the channels on the field-programmable gate array (FPGA) for immediate control and reading of devices and input signals. Once the I/O is defined, the screw terminal connections provide simple and generic interfaces to a wide variety of I/O. To reduce the time and cost associated with troubleshooting, the included status LEDs provide engineers with immediate indication of all digital I/O, fuses, FPGAs, real-time OSs (RTOS) and user LEDs. As product requirements change, the two slots for Circaflex expansion modules keep options open without having to change or redesign the control system. The growing library of Circaflex expansion modules are only one square inch in size and include standard signal modules and application specific modules like SSRs, reed relays, RTDs and stepper drivers.
