Nearly 40 years practicing, Dixie Hansen has demonstrated the passion and enthusiasm for patient care necessary to be considered a Top Nurse in her field. Dixie’s career began in 1976, after she received her nursing degree from Front Range Community College. Ruth continued on with her education, attending Colorado Technical University; where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in 2007. Dixie also is a member of the world renowned, American Red Cross, an organization dedicated to preventing and relieving suffering, within the United States and around the world. Currently, Dixie works with a consultant company based out of Pierce, Colorado. At the facility she is a staff nurse, with specialization in geriatrics. As a staff nurse, Dixie manages the care and recovery of patients who are ill or injured; recording patients’ vital signs, assessing their medical conditions, and reporting their findings to doctors.
