Representing the anesthesiologists of New York, Sinha A. Monsur, MD, has been selected to represent his community in the publication of The Leading Physicians of the World. In practice for over 20 years, Dr. Monsur represents the commitment, excellence, and passion for patient care needed to receive this prestigious honor. Dr. Monsur serves Stony Brook University Medicine’s Department of Anesthesiology (Orthopedics and Plastics Division), located in Stony Brook, New York. He is an Assistant Professor there, who is known for his anesthesiology training courses for residents who are preparing for their Oral Boards. In 2011, Dr. Monsur published his training course into a book, Essential Topics and Cases for Anesthesia Oral Boards. The book is geared toward residents who have passed the written part of their Boards and are preparing for their Oral exam. His position at Stony Brook has led him to be involved with cutting-edge research, and he is a valuable teacher and mentor for up and coming anesthesiologists. In 1989, Dr. Monsur received his degree from Mymensingh Medical College in Bangladesh. His residency was performed at New York University Langone Medical Center, before becoming board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Performing anesthesia care in a number of languages, Dr. Monsur truly is an asset to Stony Brook citizens. He also practices in Queens, at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.
