Representing the pediatricians of Virginia, Margaret V. Blanchard, MD, has been selected to represent her community in the publication of The Leading Physicians of the World. In practice for nearly 20 years, Dr. Blanchard represents the commitment, distinction, and passion for patient care needed to receive this esteemed honor. Dr. Blanchard’s career began in 1993, after she received her medical degree from the Georgetown University and Medical College of Virginia. She continued her education at the Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters in Norfolk, Virginia, completing a residency program in pediatrics. While attending, she received the “Best Intern of the Year” award. Dr. Blanchard then earned certification from the American Board of Pediatrics. Located in Newport News, Virginia, Dr. Blanchard works at the The Children’s Clinic Ltd. Dr. Blanchard has special interests in asthma, allergy, newborn care and lactation. Practicing for many years, she brings a vast amount of experiences and knowledge to the faculty at Children’s Clinic. Dr. Blanchard worked as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters in the Emergency Department. After moving to Memphis for a short while, Dr. Blanchard worked at the Memphis Children’s Clinic and was on staff at the Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital as an Urgent Care Pediatrician. Moving back to Virginia, she found her place at Children’s Clinic, where she is now, and has been happily practicing general pediatrics since then.
